Rain could disrupt the 2011 SEA Games opening ceremony held at the Stadium Jakabaring Srivijaya, Palembang, Friday, November 11, 2011.
Actually, the committee was already anticipating the worst possible arrival of the rain with raincoats and umbrellas to give before the opening ceremony began.
The rain began to fall when a contingent from Indonesia enters the ceremony site or at 20:40 pm. The audience tried to survive by wearing a raincoat and umbrella. However, one by one the audience gave up and chose to leave the location even though the opening has been using umbrellas and raincoats ..
Although time was left by some spectators, it lasted until the opening ceremony finished at 22.00. Even the Minister of Youth and Sports Andi Mallarangeng and Chairman Rita Subowo Inasoc must be willing in the rain with a contingent from the 11 participating countries.
